Gideons Operation is a call for generosity to support the ministry of IAHM, which proclaims the Gospel and prays for the sick with compassion. It’s also an opportunity to support the widow and orphan, the poor and destitute.
God is an extremely generous God, that’s part of His character.
"Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life."
Today we’d like to give you the opportunity to be “rich in good works”, to be generous, to support IAHM, whose mission is to bring healing to all nations and denominations. But also for a country called Ukraine, which has been somewhat forgotten, even though it is in the middle of a war with a humanitarian tragedy, just like Mozambique, which is experiencing unprecedented persecution, and where people are caring for widows, orphans and the most destitute.
Donations raised will be split between Heidi Baker’s ministry, Iris Global, to support Mozambique, a country under severe persecution. Christians are being killed every day, and there is a major famine in Mozambique at the moment. Heidi Baker, who still lives there, would like to say a few words through these videos. And we would also like to send our support in Ukraine to our contacts on the spot, as the consequences of the war are hitting families and entire villages, and material and humanitarian aid is essential to enable thousands of people to live decently during these uncertain times.
We pray to God that liberality and generosity may be expressed among His people. As a breath of revival is coming upon our nations, we welcome the Spirit of generosity among us. We don’t want to put our hope in uncertain riches, but in the Lord who abundantly gives us all things. May His Spirit, who is the Holy Spirit, show each of us how to be generous with what He gives us, to participate actively in the proclamation of the Gospel and in humanitarian aid for those most in need.
