Anointed “All the Way To the Bowels”!

“The following story, which profoundly marked the beginning of Casa de Dios and the foundation of my ministry, began with years of prayer with my wife Sonia. We fasted, longing intensely for God’s anointing, for we knew that without His power all would be in vain. One day the telephone rang. An unfamiliar voice greeted me: “Am I speaking to the servant of God Luna?” The man then described my prayer of the previous day with unsettling accuracy, then spoke a prophetic word: “God says to wait, for in a few days you will be anointed as kings were anointed.” He refused to give his name, insisting so that I would understand that the message came directly from God.

A few days later, the man called me back and said, “Pastor, God wants to anoint you and your wife. I’m going to give you the exact address where I want you to go. It sounded insane, but deep in our hearts, Sonia and I knew we had to obey. The following Saturday, dressed in our best clothes, we drove to the address. To our surprise, it wasn’t a grand church, but a small asylum for the elderly. The director, a wise-looking older man, received us and said: “Brother, today I’m going to anoint you with the oil of the Bible”. I thought his approach foolhardy, but he replied that he was obeying God by quoting Romans 9:20: “But you, man, who are you to enter into contention with God? Will the object say to the one who fashioned it, ‘Why did you make me this way?’

It was an unforgettable anointing. After removing our shoes, the man dripped the oil. It wasn’t just a few drops, but a total ‘oil bath’! My clothes, my tie, my haireverything was completely soaked and dripping. It was a perfect mess, a divine mess. Imagine us next, in a chic cafeteria, dripping with oil, drinking coffee where the oil mixed with our drink! I even joked that I had the anointing ‘down to the bowels’. For me, this moment represented the entrance of the Holy Spirit, not as a mere visitor, but as an all-encompassing, transforming presence, permeating every fiber of our being. This was not a formal ceremony, but a direct divine intervention, demonstrating that the anointing comes directly from God to fully equip us.”

The Holy Spirit is Not the “Third” Person!

“This experience led me to a radically transformed understanding of the Holy Spirit. It is crucial to dispel the idea that the Holy Spirit is the ‘third Person’ of the Trinity in a sense of lesser or secondary importance. This perception, often influenced by rankings such as those at the Olympic Games, risks relegating him to an accessory role, a ‘bronze medal’. This is a fundamental error that deprives us of the fullness of His power and presence.

The Bible vividly reveals the pre-eminence of the Holy Spirit throughout divine history. In the beginning, even before God declared light, “the Spirit of God hovered over the waters” (Gen 1:2), preceding the creating word and being the driving force in divine work. The glory of God, a palpable manifestation of the Spirit, covered the mountain of Moses before the giving of the law. Jesus is begotten by the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:35), His life is entirely guided by Him, and the Holy Spirit descends upon Him like a dove at His baptism (Luke 3:22). John the Baptist was instructed to recognize the Messiah by the descent of the Spirit (John 1:33), and Jesus’ first message is, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me” (Luke 4:18). It is also the Holy Spirit who raises Jesus from the dead (Romans 8:11). After Pentecost, Peter quotes Joel 2:28-29, announcing the outpouring of the Spirit on all flesh.

How, then, could the Spirit who begot, guided and resurrected Jesus, and who inaugurated the era of the new covenant and power for the Church, be relegated to ‘third’? This is neither fair nor biblical. The Holy Spirit is your constant companion, Helper and Comforter (John 14:16). He is a Person, with a divine personality, not a mystical force or abstract energy. He rejoices, He grieves, He guides, comforts and teaches. He covers and protects you, as Psalm 105:15 says, “touch not my anointed ones”. Your life and body are protected by His presence and anointing: you must never put Him third in your heart or theology.”

Releasing His Power Through Speaking

“The Holy Spirit is much more than mere inspiration; He is divine power in action, the inexhaustible source of tangible miracles and healings in and through our lives. When His presence is manifest, death retreats and sickness flees. Think of Moses on the mountain: forty days, for ten commandments! And these forty days of intense communion with God transformed him to the point where his face radiated divine glory. This teaches me that true power lies in a deep relationship with the Owner of the Word, not in our ideas or what we do.

Jesus Himself illustrated this principle. As he was healing a paralytic, Jesus asked a profound question: “Which is easier to say: ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or: ‘Get up and walk’?” (Matthew 9:5). It wasn’t about the ease of action, but the power of the word. This question reveals that the word spoken with faith and authority holds divine creating power. Healing begins with a declaration, a word of faith released into the atmosphere. That’s why I urge you: learn to speak with authority to your body and your situations, proclaiming healing. Saying “Be healed!” is as easy as saying “yes” or ”no”.

During our meetings, we witness countless miracles. I’ve seen Juan Francisco’s hand, cut deep, restored perfectly, all nerves and tendons restored. A child with twisted feet was instantly healed by faith and went on to become an excellent basketball player. A grandmother praying for her feverish baby saw the fever drop immediately. We’ve also witnessed healings from ‘double Morton’s syndrome’, tendonitis, herniated discs (a woman regaining mobility in her hips), walking problems, prostate problems, infections, autism, pneumonia, osteoarthritis, and jammed ribs. These miracles are living proof that the Holy Spirit operates today as He always has, fulfilling the promises of Mark 16:17-18.

It’s essential to understand that the Holy Spirit is Someone, a divine Person, not something, not a vague force. To experience the full power of the Spirit, you need to know Him personally. He is there for you, to live through you, and to offer you an abundant and meaningful life, as Jesus promised (John 10:10).”
