God is personally committed to you!

Have you ever felt like your situation was too far gone for a miracle? This article from Henry Madava‘s preaching will change your perspective. God is not just powerful; He is personally committed to you because of His immense love. Let’s dive into how His heart beats for your restoration and how His commitment can turn your “impossible” into a testimony today. (You can also listen to the full preaching, starting at 1:09:06 in the video here above.)

The foundation of every miracle is God’s personal love

I want you to understand a fundamental truth: every miracle Jesus performs is rooted in His deep, personal love for you. When we look at the story of Lazarus in the Gospel of John, we see a man who was gravely ill. His sisters, Mary and Martha, sent a message to Jesus saying, “Lord, behold, he whom You love is sick” (John 11:3). This is a crucial detail. The miracle that followed—raising a man from the dead—wasn’t just a display of raw power; it happened because Jesus loved Lazarus, Martha, and Mary. I believe that if He did not love them, we might not have seen this specific miracle recorded in history. Everything God does, He does according to His love.

I often tell people that no one can escape God’s love. He loves you with the same intensity that He loved Lazarus. This love is the catalyst for your breakthrough. Let us recall the most famous promise in Scripture: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). This isn’t just a general statement for the masses; it is a personal commitment to you. When you are suffering, Jesus doesn’t look at you with indifference. He looks at you with a heart that has already decided to help because you belong to Him.

You must realize that God has already made the choice to use His power to assist those He loves. If you are searching for a miracle today, start by accepting that you are the object of His affection. You don’t have to earn His attention through perfect works; you already have it because of His grace. His commitment to you is so strong that He was willing to walk into dangerous territory, even when people wanted to kill Him, just to reach Lazarus, the one He loved. He is walking toward your situation right now, driven by a love that refuses to let you go.

A Savior who is touched by the feeling of your pain

I am constantly moved by the fact that we do not serve a distant, cold deity. We have a High Priest, Jesus the Son of God, who has passed into the Heavens but remains deeply connected to our earthly struggles. The Bible tells us in Hebrews 4:15: “For we do not have a High Priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are—yet he did not sin”. This means that when you feel pain, He feels it too. When you are frustrated by a recurring illness or a family crisis, His heart is moved.

I like to use the analogy of my own daughter. As a father, she is incredibly special to me. I remember once when she was small and something sharp stuck her hand. Even though the object didn’t cut my own hand, I could feel her pain in my heart because I love her. I ran to help her instantly because she is my child. This is exactly how Jesus reacts to you. He knows if this is your “last chance” or if you are at the end of your rope. He knows your sorrow and your business struggles.

People sometimes ask me if God has any weaknesses. In His power, the answer is no; but in His love, the answer is yes. He has a “weakness” for His children. When the Israelites cried out in the desert, even when they had been rebellious, God’s heart would break for them, and He would forgive them and help them again. He is “committed” to you, which means He is ready to use everything He has to help you. He gave His very life so that you could be free, healed, and whole. He didn’t just come to help; He came to die in your place so that cancer wouldn’t have the final word and so that your eyes could see and your ears could hear. He is touched by what touches you.

Overcoming the “impossible” through divine power

Finally, I want to encourage you that your situation is never too far gone for the power of God. Lazarus had been in the grave for four days. In human terms, that is what we call an “impossible situation”. It was so grim that his sisters didn’t even want to open the grave because of the smell. But Jesus specializes in four-day-old problems. Whether it is a stage 4 cancer diagnosis that has spread to every organ, or a child who has been crippled from birth, Jesus can reverse the impossible.

I have seen this power in action all over the world. I remember a woman in Ukraine with terminal breast cancer; the doctors said it was the end, but the Lord touched her, and she was completely healed! I think of a young girl in Mozambique who was born a cripple and was crawling on the ground; during a prayer, she simply stood up and started walking! Why does God do these miracles? He does them because He wants to draw people to Himself. Jesus once said that if the miracles done in Capernaum had been done in Sodom, that city would still be standing today (Matthew 11:23). Miracles are the “dinner bell” of the Gospel; they show the world that Jesus is alive and that He cares.

Perhaps you feel like you are in a “grave” of depression, debt, or disease. I am here to tell you that the same resurrection power that called Lazarus out of the tomb is flowing toward you right now. There is no distance in the Spirit; wherever you might be, God’s power can reach you. He is more than enough for anyone. Don’t believe the lies of the enemy that say you won’t be healed. Instead, have faith that because God is committed and powerful, your miracle is inevitable.
