If you are facing impossible circumstances—sickness, financial struggle, or deep disappointment—know that Jesus Christ is here, the same yesterday, today, and forever. Let Katherine Ruonala encourage your heart with simple truths and incredible miracles that prove God wants you to dream big and experience His glory. (Or listen to her full preaching, starting at 56:08 in the video here above.)
To God nothing is impossible
If I could leave you with one key thought, it is this: nothing is impossible for God. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever, and I have the privilege of witnessing His glorious power firsthand as I travel. I share these testimonies because they tell us who He is, and they are meant to provoke worship and build your faith. I believe that as you read this, the Holy Spirit wants to touch you personally.
Consider the story of Luan in Brazil, who was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Doctors operated once, but the tumor returned. During a second surgery, surgeons realized they could not remove the growth without risking significant brain damage. They had to sew him back up with the tumor still inside. To make matters worse, a severe infection set in, preventing any further operations for months. It was during this period that Luan came to our meeting in Brasilia. He simply reached out to God in worship. When a word of knowledge was given for a brain tumor, he received it by faith. Later, scans confirmed the tumor was gone. Even the hole in his skull, where a skin graft was planned, closed completely on its own.
I also recall baby Gabriella, the daughter of students at our Bible school. Just thirty minutes after birth, she suffered a heart attack and was without oxygen for over five minutes. Doctors feared she would be severely impaired if she even survived. When I arrived at the hospital, the baby was grey. I told her father, Nathaniel, “Take a picture; this is going to give a message”. After we prayed and read the Bible to her, she miraculously opened her eyes. By the end of that day, she was breastfeeding, and she was sent home the next day—completely healed!
These stories prove that God is a good Father. If you refuse to quit and if you set your hope on Him, you will see your breakthrough multiplied.
“Jesus said to him: all things are possible to him who believes.” (Mark 9:23).
The Divine Exchange: trading your foreign currency
I want to talk to you about the Divine Exchange. This is the core of the Gospel, where we exchange our messed-up life for His eternal life, our sin and our sickness for His forgiveness and righteousness.
I often think of this process in terms of foreign currency. Imagine I have ten British pounds and try to use them in Australia—they won’t be accepted because they are foreign currency. But if I exchange them, I receive Australian dollars in return. In the Kingdom of God, foreign currency is anything that does not look like heaven: disappointment, shame, sickness, pain, fear, depression, and loss. This foreign currency still has value. Your pain and shame have value that you can exchange. The exchange rate of Heaven is incredible.
I love the promise in Isaiah 61:7, which was given to Israel, but applies to us today in the New Covenant: “Instead of your shame you shall have double honor, and instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double; everlasting joy shall be theirs”. This is God saying, “I will give you double blessing for your shame and your fault”.
I know personally that this is true. Early in my ministry, someone posted a terrible video about me, full of false accusations and shame. My husband, Tom, said: “Let’s treat that as foreign currency—disgrace in the media—and let’s exchange it for double for our trouble”. We agreed in faith, and today, we are on television in over 200 nations; people are saved while I’m asleep! God is good! You can choose not to wallow in self-pity over your foreign currency, but instead exchange it in faith.
When disappointment comes, it’s like a seed. You can choose to sit down and be miserable, or you can consciously choose to sow that pain and those tears, knowing that you will see multiplication. The Bible tells us that those who sow in tears shall reap in joy: “He who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him” (Psalm 126:5-6). If you sit down in your tears and give up, you miss the harvest. And we are now in a season of divine harvest, supernatural multiplication, and acceleration.
Becoming a shareholder in God’s Kingdom
This brings me to our final point: understanding our position in the work of the Lord. I want to shift your perspective from being a consumer to being a shareholder in what God is doing.
The book of Exodus tells a powerful story about the building of the Tabernacle—the place where God would dwell and work. The people were bringing in voluntary gifts morning after morning, continuously. Eventually, the skilled workers who were doing the construction work told Moses: “The people have brought more than enough than we need to do the work which the Lord commanded us to do” (Exodus 36:4). Moses literally had to stop them from bringing more gifts.
Why did they do this? Because they understood the work of the Lord. They had the revelation in their hearts that they wanted “shares” in what God was doing. In modern business language, they wanted to invest in a company that had great potential. I believe that what the Lord is doing in Europe is small compared to what He has in store, and this is not a worldly business—it is the Lord’s mission to build a wineskin for His Spirit to live and work in.
A consumer thinks: “What can I get?” A shareholder, or investor, owns part of the operation, and when the whole thing goes up, their shares go up, too. Jesus says that the same measure you use will be given back to you. God does not need our money to pay for things; if you don’t give, He will use other sources. But if you invest at this time, you will see a blessing. You have the opportunity now to ask the Lord: “Should I be a shareholder in what You are doing, and if so, how much should I invest?”.
“Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” (Luke 6:38)
If you feel called to invest in this Revival for Europe, I invite you to pray this prayer of commitment with me:
Father God, we thank You so much for all You do. Holy Spirit, we ask You to speak to our hearts. How should we relate to what You are doing? Should we invest? How do You want us to give? Speak to us, we want to listen. Holy Spirit, bless us with a thirtyfold, sixtyfold, and hundredfold harvest in what we invest in the move of evangelization. Thank You for this time of Revival, thank You for this time of glory, and thank You that we have the honor to be a part of this also with our finances. Bless each one, in the name of Jesus, amen.
